I am a lover of fishing and I have fished at Irvine lake but it cost money there and the fish there are so very picky. But there must be other places besides Irvine lake to go fishing.Do you know of any places with good bass and trout fishing. and the best ways to catch them?
well i am a large mouth bass fisherman and know alot about it basikly i think of myself as a semi pro but since i no longer live near the lakes i always fished and live near many local lakes with one public access and one spot to fish from shore (im a shore fisherman, i own no boats) the rest of the lake access are from houses along the entire lake so i asked a techer about spots to fish and he pointed me towards the river near our area for small mouth. most of my lures are for large mouths like 5-8 inch senkos 4 inch hard swimbaits and medium to large crankbaits like rapalas and medium sized ratl-traps bass spinnerbaits and buzzbaits and inline spinners, are these still good for small mouths? there are a few largemouths in the river but not enough that i can target them only. so are the lures i have still work? im basikly asking what diference can i expect with lures and technique of fishing shuld i expect besides the fish and the fight they give.
ARTIE ur a pissed off guy who looks for people to yell at. im not an idiot i know all about how weather and water clearity and all those crap and how it effects fishing i learned it all from research and youtube in just a year and that was wen i hadnt fished for years and i was only 14 and wen i could finaly drive myself to go fish and targetting only largemouth i was very succcessful because of how much time i spent learning about LARGEMOUTH BASS but small mouth are different and i strayed away from them because were i fish the only way to get smallies was from boat to get to the deep areas of the lake and other than that here in MN not EVERYSINGLE lake has smallies you need to find lakes with a decent smallie population to actually target them. you just hate other fishermen that may show more skill than you. i know i was being somewhat cocky but who dosnt get cocky when it comes to fishing semi pro was to show i am not a beginner but not pro just that i kno wat im doing
I have a 1/4 acre pond with bluegill and bass. I want to make it more of a food producing pond, so I want to replace the bass with catfish. Will the catfish eat the bluegill to keep the numbers under control? Will they both accept fish feed? I was also wondering if catfish only fed at night.
I was considering going fishing around march 5th-15th out of state somewhere for a couple of days. My current place of residence is Michigan. I know typically around that early in march the water is still frozen and or much to cold to really have anything biting. Please help me find a place that would be a good time to go. Interested in freshwater, walleye, bass, pike, etc.

i will be fishing largemouth bass and soon smallmouts also and i usually use 10pound mono with a g.loomis imx fast action which is actually pretty stiff but i think since i will be fishing a river that i need as much distance on cast as possible. i am very cheap (lol) and i hate losing lures from big fish teethy fish or snags from rocks and logs, i can fite fish but not teethy fish with no leader so that may give you an idea of what poundage i shuld use

Just wondering, I’m 14 almost 15 years old and am a pretty good largemouth bass and Louisiana inshore fisherman. I go fishing a lot from the bank of lake pontchatrain to catch fish but need a boat to accually be really succesful. Is there a way I can get sponsored to make some extra cash or anything?
i caught this 5 pound bass at tewinkle park costa mesa i was fishing with my 2 friends while my parents were at my little brothers baseball practice and was fishing for 2 hours and i decided to go to the little ponds near the upper lake the middle pond was so small people thought i was crazy fishing in their cause they thought there was no fish in those small ponds and i casted out a gulp night crawler With a drop shot wait and a 5 sized hook on a fire bird shake spear rod with 6 pound test mono line in the picture is me and my little sister who came wen i called my mom to se my big bass here shows the length of the fish it was the length of her stomach across this is the 2 secon biggest fish i caught at tewinnkle i caught a 25 pound catfish last year 2009 brought good memories heres a link to the picture http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=496981644&albumID=487249&imageID=11515178

Hey i really want a fishing hat… preferably a dark color but color really doesn’t matter. But i want a hat that involves fishing like maybe a lure brand or a Bass or something… but i want the hat to not have that annoying adjustable backing like many hunting baseball caps do. I really like hats that i can turn around and look clean without the adjustable strap. Does anyone know where i can buy a nice fishing baseball cap online? or at a store but id prefer to look at some pics online first. Thank You!
